Caleb Taylor - WIP

License To Die - Adult Paranormal Fantasy

This blurb is unpolished but it captures the basics of book one.

With a wayward Witch casting illegal spells, a vengeful Succubus and a missing baby somewhere in the middle of a bitter winter, the Windy City is about to get a whole lot more dangerous. It’s Caleb Taylor’s job to track and kill out of control Supes so when he’s called on by Fhara, a Furie in charge of a Supernatural Intelligence agency, Caleb sets out to find whoever is responsible and bring them in – dead or alive. But when all leads run cold and the clock ticking, Caleb is about to give up all hope when baby paraphernalia shows up at his loft. Motivated anew, Caleb chases seemingly dead end trails all over Chicago, finding the bodies of unlucky humans and Supes along the way until things finally start to heat up. Having no idea he was being herded by an unknown but very involved third party, Caleb ends up smack dab in the middle of a brewing storm he had no clue was coming.

Number of books in series is still TBD.

  1. Hi Amiya! Your novel, License to Die, sounds very cool. I like novels that include a host of supernatural characters. The Windy City is definitely a great location for a story. And I have to say, I love your protagonist’s name, Caleb Taylor. One of the main characters in my Sunset Vampire Series is named Caleb Taylor, too. (He’s based in Atlanta, Georgia and is the human mate to my central vampire, Katrina.) Best of luck on your series, Amiya, and I can’t wait to read the first novel when you’re done! Have a great upcoming weekend!

    1. Thank you, Jaz! I, too prefer to read books that have a multitude of characters that all have something special about them that gives each of them a distinct role. It keeps things fresh, in my opinion. I actually have the first in your series on my Kindle, but sadly haven't gotten a chance to read it yet. There are about eight billion books on my TBR list. Haha. But I've heard great things about it and can't wait to finally sink my teeth into it. [No vampire pun intended.] Haha Once again, thank you so much and I look forward to the day I finish it and publish!
